At times therapists and clients may communicate remotely over secure electronic platforms and devices such as smart phones, tablets, or laptop/desktop computers which have a camera and microphone.
We prefer face to face sessions – especially at the start of services. Occasionally, telehealth sessions may be better or even required especially if there are issues with transportation, childcare, limited mobility, and/or public health emergencies.
Healthcare insurance companies have been covering these services during a public health emergency such as the COVID pandemic. It is likely that some form of coverage will continue to be provided by insurers.
